- They said people like Horror films because 'They love the thrill and adrenaline rush that is built up by the music before something bad is going to happen' they also 'prefer watching horror films in the dark as it makes it much more like real life'.

- They thought that the reason why people didn't like watching Horror films because they are too scary for some.

-Person 2 said that people like watching horror films because they're interested in the whole supernatural approach to horrors. 'I like watching them because i like to feel on edge and scared'

-Person 2 thought that people might not like to watch this type of genre because it might make them become 'freaked out'

-'Depends on the age of the viewer because if they're younger, they might not like watching them because it might cause them to get nightmares. But people like to watch them because they enjoy the plots as well as the unusual use of demonic characters. Some also like to watch horror films because its as if the films are real life.'

There is 2 parts of a genre, the Thematic and the Iconography

Thematic (Inner form): Themes, morals, message, characters, typical storyline. 

Iconography (Outer form): Location, Mise-en-scene, colours, marketing (eg: Film Posters)

The Inner form and the Outer form of Horror is stereotypically- 
Thematic: "Don't go to haunted houses", young people (Teenagers), little creepy children, death/murder, vulnerable characters, "if you are sinful, you will die", psycho killers, clowns.


Iconography: Dark lighting, haunted houses, dark colours, blood, wounds, shadows, isolated locations, dolls, mirrors, wind-up toys, weapons, writing on the wall
